We are looking for a detail-oriented Product Owner for one of our venture companies to develop an alternative investment platform featuring advanced investment structuring. It offers personalized and tailored access to investment managers, enabling scalable distribution for family offices, wealth managers, and financial institutions.

You will play a key role in assisting all stakeholders in defining, gathering and documenting requirements in order to support, work with and guide our teams to create innovative digital experiences and an enterprise-class application.

Position Responsibilities

Client Engagement and Stakeholder Management:

  • Stakeholder Expertise: Provide expert advice on processes and solutions related to digital platforms and software to both clients and external stakeholders.
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding product definition and the release roadmap. Establish and maintain constructive, positive relationships with clients and stakeholders by working closely with them to comprehend their business goals and objectives.

Product Vision and Delivery:

  • Vision and Direction: Collaborate with the delivery team to ensure the product vision is clearly communicated and the software delivery aligns with both business and technical objectives, delivering the appropriate solution.
  • Backlog Management: Work alongside design, development, and QA teams to refine user stories, define acceptance criteria, and prioritize backlog items to ensure a smooth development process.

Analysis and Documentation:

  • Idea Assessment: Analyze, assess, and document new ideas and requests, taking into account potential risks, opportunities, and impacts to the project.

Team Support and Impediment Resolution:

  • Mitigate Challenges: Actively engage in identifying and mitigating any obstacles that could hinder the successful completion of release/sprint goals, ensuring team progress and momentum.

Experience Requirements:

  • Essential Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Product Owner in projects that prioritize user experience in software development.
  • Welcome Background: Business Analysts seeking to shift into a Product Ownership role, particularly those with a background in the financial sector, are encouraged to apply.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Industry Knowledge: A good understanding of fund distribution and management processes, including but not limited to the creation and distribution of funds as investments, subscription processes (with an emphasis on KYC procedures), and fund management. While not mandatory, familiarity with these areas will be considered an asset.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong technical background in software product development, including a solid grasp of requirement management and proficiency in UI/UX design practices and frameworks (Agile/Scrum preferred).
  • Analytical Skills: An advantageous understanding of user flows, business needs, data usage and management, typical business rules, and functional design.
