Key Responsibilities:
Define and execute team strategies to ensure alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
Spearhead the career development initiatives of design team members, fostering a culture of growth and excellence.
Oversee the implementation of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) within the design team, ensuring clarity and accountability.
Conduct resource and pipeline planning to optimize team efficiency and project delivery timelines.
Ensure the effectiveness and productivity of the design team by establishing and maintaining streamlined processes.
Act as a liaison between designers and other team members, facilitating seamless collaboration and communication.
Manage communication, planning, briefing, and quality assurance aspects of design projects and activities.
Provide mentorship and support to design team members, aiding in their professional development and growth.
Collaborate with Project Managers and Design Leads to assign projects based on team member skills and project requirements.
Uphold a solid understanding of design methods and thinking, with a focus on empathizing with the needs of all stakeholders.
Demonstrate strong managerial and influencing skills to drive the success of projects and initiatives.
Efficiently manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, distributed team environment.
Utilize Jira tools proficiently to track and manage project progress and tasks effectively.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in leading design projects and managing teams.
Proven experience in a leadership role within the design field, with a track record of successfully managing and developing high-performing teams.
Strong understanding of design principles, methodologies, and industry trends, with a focus on delivering exceptional user experiences.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated proficiency in project management tools and platforms, such as Jira, to facilitate project tracking and collaboration.
Bachelor's or master's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field (preferred).
